Education is a gift that cannot be confiscated, demolished or occupied. It is a pillar of Palestinian life. Despite the serious obstacles placed in their way, Palestinian students at all levels—from kindergarteners to university students—risk everything in pursuit of education. UPA’s education programs offer safe spaces, cultivate independent thought, and facilitate access to learning at all educational levels.

The Learning for the Empowerment and Advancement of Palestinians (LEAP) program provides students in grades 5-9 with not only with after-school and summer tutoring support in core academic competencies, but also with psychosocial support for them and their caregivers. UPA’s programs also nurture the rise of strong leaders at the university level. The Mahmoud Darwish Scholarship Fund provides Palestinian students with tuition assistance to universities in the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and Jordan.
